Bowl A shows a layer of white glaze with dark, whimsical sgraffito elements and red accents. The interior is coated in a sheer layer of glaze to retain the dark color of the clay.

Bowl B shows a dark clay exterior with horizontal, light brown brush strokes. The interior is coated in a cool, white glaze.

Bowl C shows a dark clay exterior with horizontal, light brown brush strokes. The interior is coated in a cool, white glaze. It has a narrow, straight, bottom.

Bowl D shows a dark clay exterior with horizontal, light brown brush strokes. The interior is coated in a cool, white glaze. It has a single drop of white glaze on the exterior.

Microwave and dishwasher safe.

Sue Stein's work is primarily a response to years of thinking about form and function. Having developed a love for photography and printmaking but needing to get her hands more involved in the process,she found pottery to be a perfect medium to explore. Each piece is hand thrown, trimmed and glazed as one-of-a-kind. The surface design allows Stein to use my years of printmaking to feel comfortable scratching right onto the clay or underglaze depending on the clay body. There is a visceral response she never tires of. All pieces are food, microwave and dishwasher safe.
